Saw that page before, I'll have to look at it again though. I
think I'll subscribe and see what I get. Mr. Dean or anybody,
do you think they'll upgrade the OS?
I also heard that it's really easy to upgrade and that it's also
free. Go to the Utilities Menu, go to the last item, hit enter,
and when it asks if you're sure you want to upgrade, hit enter
and it'll install the new version. Are the upgrades for the
Braille Sense similar to the BN? For instance, do they release
maintenance releases and stuff like that, and does anybody know
what current upgrades have included?

As this is a comparison thread and so still involves the bn, I
would
leave it on list.
The primary difference is the interface. The bsp (braille sense
plus)
and bsoh (braille sense on hand, basically the HIMS answer to
the pk)
are good devices and have some features that the bn does not.
However,
they are made to resemble Windows. For example, in any program,
you
access different menus which may have submenus or dialog boxes.
In
keysoft, as you know, everything is done through lists and
menus. I
know a few people on here have, or have used, both devices, so I
will
leave the details to them. In short, though, you will always
trade
some features for others with whatever device you use.
The hims list is pretty low-traffic; if you want more
information and
first-hand experience, I would definitely join it.
