I own both the Apex and the BrailleSense Plus. I must disagree with you
about the battery life. The BSP's battery doesn't drain as rapidly as the
Apex battery because the power automatically shuts down to a minimum when
the unit is turned off. You have to put the Apex into Deep Sleep mode in
order to do the same thing.
I, too, prefer the Keysoft interface, however, if you happen to forget a
command for the BSP, you can open a menu using the alt key and navigate
around it using the arrow keys. Qwerty, of course.) You can do the same
thing with the braille-style keyboard.
Although the BSP doesn't support NLS books, its media player has more
features than the one on the Apex including bookmarks for all files and the
ability to speed up or slow down the reader for any audiobook or mp3 file,
not just Daisy.
Neither the calculator nor the word processor have as many features as the
ones for the BN.
I like the file manager of the BrailleSense Plus better than the one for the
BN. It's so easy to go from folder to subfolder!
