Hi,
Standard view isn't the best blind-friendly version of Gmail.
There is a Delete Forever in the trash folder if you have Gmail
set to Basic HTML and set that as your default.

Alex, no, for me, there's no button that says "delete forever" in
standard view, trash, just delete and when I click that it says
it's been moved to the trash, even though I'm there already.

I may have missed something, but why basic? If you use an apex,
the
mobile view will load and it will let you do the same thing. If
trash
does not show up, select the "more ยป" link, check the trash link
on
the resulting page, then click the done button.
