Hi Peter,
From what happened to me, yes I think you have to be careful and
put the license in the root directory first and reset. When that
is successful, then put the KS9.2 file in the root and reset.
If you are anxious to get 9.2, I would just delete the licenses
in the root and download yours again and go from there. But don't
take my advice if you are afraid of really messing things up.
Waiting for HW is a good idea.

Hi Deb
Thanks for this!
So, should one really try to install the licence file, and then
in another operation try KS 9,2. To all intents and purposes
these 2 licence files look identicle!
I'll wait til I hear back from HW after the week end!
I did have the issue where the Apex wouldn't do anything. I
thought that perhaps in a situation like that one would just be
"stuck" with 9,1!
Cheers
Peter

Hi Peter,
Yep, that sounds like a plan. Make sure that the license file on
the root directory is for 9.2. I don't think the 2 license files
can be exactly the same because I don't think that KS would allow
that. Maybe one is still the license for KS9.1.
I actually thought you had the problem I had which was that I put
both the license and KS9.2 on the root directory and did the
reset. The Apex loaded KS9.2 first and not the license. That
caused me not to have access to the Apex at all. When I would
turn it on I would get the message about the invalid license and
it would not go to the main menu. When I put the license file on
an SD card and then did the reset it worked and I was back in
business.
Hope you get it up and running. Maybe you already have. I have
found that the new PDF reading works really well. Of course you
have to have good PDF files.

Hi Deb
Thanks for this!
I actually find that there are 2 licence files in my none folder
on the flash disk that seem to be identical! Do you think that's
why this error occurred?
So, are you saying install the licence file first, to the none
folder on the flash disk, then reset, and then put in the s d
card with KS 9,2 and go from there?

Hi Peter,
I did a similar thing when I loaded my KS9.2. I had both the
license file and KS9.2 on the root of the flash disk. When I did
the soft reset I got the same message that you did. Because
there
was no way to get to the flash disk, I had to use my pc to
download the license onto an SD card. I put it in the Apex and
did a soft reset. It worked! I guess the moral of our story is
you can't load both files on one reset.
Hope this helps.

I tried updating to KS 9,2.
I put the license file I received in an email from HW on the root
of the flash disk and put in the s d card which had 9,2 on it.
I did the soft reset when prompted.
The Apex 32 went through the 5 stages and then I got the message
"cannot find a valid license file" if I hit h with space I get
the message "this is usually caused by a missing license or an
invalid license file for this device. I have tried a soft reset
and a reset by holding in the reset button for 5 seconds. I only
this get this message.
Any suggestions?
Peter
