Hi,
That's something that Greg mentioned too - that VoiceOver assumes
you are using 6 dot when in fact all eight dots are supported.
Greg also said that HW and Apple are still communicating on
supporting full QT support and to implement 8 dot support.

It seems if the apex keyboard is set to 6 dot braille, and the
iphone has 8 dot braille on, the dot 7 key on the apex works as a
shift key allowing computer braille to be used... The pass
through command 4 5 6 enter works perfectly fine in 6 dot
braille... Make using computer braille easier anyway, but it
means I'll have to remember to change the keyboard settings back
when I want 8 dot braille on the apex...
Annoying!
