Hi,
Hotmail (now called Windows Live) does have POP and SMTP
settings, but the way outgoing server is configured does not
allow KeyMail to send emails (you can receive Windows Live
emails, but not send it through this account).

and Google uses pop and smtp

Well, I think it's not
possible to set up and hotmail
account on the apex
because we need pop and smtp
servers to do that and hotmail
doesn't work
with those servers.
