Okay, I believe for pop3 server you mean pop3.live.com which I entered when I tried it. For the ports however, I tried 587 and 995. I will retry with 465 in couple of days and report to the list about the result.

but you can receive email from keymail with hotmail and I'll give you the stuff that you need for that it is pop3liveddcom and the smpt is smpt dot live dot com and then the numbers are nine nine five and four six five try it out it works for me

Well, I think it's not possible to set up and hotmail account on
the apex
because we need pop and smtp servers to do that and hotmail
doesn't work
with those servers.
