Sharon: Try uninstalling and then reinstalling the latest JAWS version. JAWS is supposed to work on Windows XP. At some point you may need to change to Windows Vista, or Windows 7, as support for Windows XP is going to run out at some point.

As soon as I selected the braillenote in my list of braille displays in Jaws it stopped working. I talk to a support person about it and they said I needed to run a repair of Jaws. Since I was using the latest update to Jaws I couldn't use the Jaws CD to do the repair I had to download the latest version from the Jaws website. I did all this and when I tried to launch the downloaded Jaws to get the option to repair it didn't give it to me. I ended up getting an error message saying I was already running a version of Jaws 13 on this machine. So I'm not sure where to go from here, I have thought about just uninstalling Jaws 13 and then reinstalling it to see if that works. I'm not sure if it has something to do with the version of windows. I am running windows ExP with all updates. It is nice to see this isn't just me but sorry I can't really help you get out of the fix. If anyone else has any ideas I would love to hear them. >From Shaz.
