Hi again listers. This is my last post for the day (smile).
I have a bit of a gripe with HumanWare's prices. I only got my APEX in late november or early December and already I'm having a problem with either the power adapter or the connection port. I called the Australian office to find out the price of a new adapter and got told that a new one would cost $75 Australian, plus GST, plus postage. I am a pensioner and receive no other income, apart from the occasional singing gig I can obtain. It is very difficult for any blind person to obtain employment in South Australia. Yet HumanWare, who claim to be a business for the blind, charge exorbitant prices for products which only go so far in meeting the requirements of their clients. I am thinking of sending the adapter back for testing but will still need to purchase a spare. I am not happy.
