As a former Pac Mate user, I Do Not recommend it.
My experience is that it's much more cumbersome to use and is not stable.
It's more like a windows machine and is devinitely not intuitive.
I would consider your needs carefully before trading in your apex...
Personally, I'm thrilled with my unit and won't be trading it in anytime
soon! This is a personal decision though and only you know what's best for
you.
Good luck.

What are those needs? Until you have that figured out, finding a
notetaker solution is difficult. I have not heard good things about
the pac mate series, though, and would be a bit leary of them.
However, I have no first-hand experience with them. Are you sure an
iPod or iPhone paired with your apex wouldn't be a good fit?

Hi all,
I've recently been offered a trade for my BN Apex 32, someone has offered
me
a packmate omni with 40 sell braille. I'd be interested in your opinions
on
this. I know the apex is knewer, but its just not fitting my needs right
now.
Thanks,
MJ
