Homero, I agree with Sam - I don't think it has to do with the format of the PDF file; it sounds to me as though the conversion of the PDF file in question was never done. Best to detach the file into a folder of your choice, then try opening it in the Book Reader, just to keep things simple. You should hear a message telling you that the file is being converted. If all looks good, then you can either copy the text to the clipboard and paste it into a new document, or else go into the file manager and choose the convert pdf file option.
