Hi I have a braillenote QT Apex and when I turn the display off all the
dots go away. So I haven't noticed what you are refering to however I
can't comment on Jess's issue because I very rarely turn braille off. I turn
speach off more often then I turn off Braille after all I got the thing so
I could use the braille.

| Yeah. Mine does the same thing when I turn it off. It just stays
| saying what ever it said before I turned it off. I think that that
| would still save the battery because the pins are not moving every
| time you press buttons. But sometimes I will turn off my display and
| it will stay off for a few minutes and then come back on. I don't know
| why it comes back on and I would like to find a way that when you turn
| it off it stays off.
