Jenny, I had this problem with the case that came with my Apex. It is made of very soft leather, and mine was coming apart. So, when I sent it in to my local distributor, ITG, for other repairs I also asked them if they could fix/replace my case. They gave me a new case with more durable lether, and I've never had the problem you describe since. I believe the cases come from Executive Products, so you may want to check them out for a new case.
