Have you tried a reset? What about exercising the display (options, space-i, 
x)? Aside from that I can't think of anything, and it sounds like you might 
have some hardware problems. I hate to say that, as I know how hard it is to be 
separated from your bn, but you may have no choice. Of course, call hw support 
first as a final resort before shipping the unit off to the hospital.
