Okay, there seems to be some confusion here.

First, as I understand it, hw has no choice in the matter; the provider that 
hosts the bn list is discontinuing it, not hw directly. Yes, hw could have set 
up another list on their own, but they turned to the community first. I have no 
doubt that, had Joseph declined to host a replacement list, hw would have gone 
ahead and created a new one.

Second, hw has said they will be on the new list. They rarely, if ever, respond 
to posts on this list and users often wonder if they are there at all, so I see 
no difference between that and what we will get on the new list. Hw 
participation may increase, but I doubt it will decrease.

Hope this clears up a few things.
