Hello Listers, to those who were able to respond to my email concerning the
weaknesses discovered in gps mark 2 UK version, may I say thank you. Though I
will stand by my findings, I believe I ought to say that the city routes,
especially pedestrian routes which I have explored, have been fairly good.
Though with local knowledge one might use shorter routes, I think the
instructions given were very equivalent to those which could be gleaned by a
sighted person using a standard street map. for this reason alone, the system
surely deserves praise. However the main road routing appears to need quite a
lot of work; perhaps it is merely that the provided maps are well out of date;
personally, i think it goes a little deeper than that. For all our sakes, I
wish Pulsedata all success in bringing this system to a far more usable
conclusion.  Don Cooper.
