Hi all,

<smiling> "Ms. Parsins, how long does this paper have ta be?"

<sigh> How often have I heard those words? I can still hear the tone
of voice too. It's that particular whine, that "poor me" tone, common
to students the world over!

If a student is told to write a four page paper, this means a four
page print paper. A four page print paper might come out to be six or
seven pages in braille. A better gauge would be a word count. You
get one of these at the end of the spell checker. I dunnow if you can
get it another way. The reason for this is that a typewritten page,
doublespaced, will usually hold approximately two hundred and fifty
words. So that if a student needs to write a four page paper, then
he/she needs to write approximately one thousand words.
