Ok, I tried and here's what I got...nothing. I entered the pc's ip address and gave the braillenote an ip address, still, activesync did not say that i was connected. Also, I'm using the exact same ethernet card on my pc to connect to the internet via the school's network. I think the pc is looking for the school's network and that is taking presidence over the activesync connection for some reason in windows xp. I also took out the ethernet card from the braillenote and got the following message. Software disconnect...your connection was dropped because of a software problem. If this problem persists, please try resetting your pc try reconnecting your device you may have interrupted the connection. This has automatically been replied to with ok. or see, the windows ce services help for further troubleshooting of communications in windows ce. I think I have better luck with a serial activesync connection and a partnetship through serial. It may not be fast but it works. It would be nice to see how a network connection works though.
