Hi Richard, we are constantly developing the BrailleNote and obviously take
this feedback on board. Obviously I can't comment on specifics until we're
almost ready to release things because of the competitive nature of this
market. I will say though without any hesitation that Pocket Word is a
considerably more limited application than KeyWord. In fact I wouldn't even
call it a word processor, it is really a notepad. So there's no way we'd be
in a hurry to support an inferior product. One of the reasons for the
BrailleNote's success is that rather than doing things the way sighted
people do them, we've written an environment designed from the ground up
with blind people in mind. There's no need to grapple with graphical
concepts, no need to have to come to grips with check boxes, radio buttons
and other such visual elements just to interact with your personal
information. And on a personal device, what counts is working with your
information in the most efficient manner for the person concerned. This is
in no way to say that I disagree with most of your feature enhancement
suggestions, just to say that the BrailleNote philosophy is to deliver
these functions in a blindness-intuitive way, and not a way that limits
them to the Windows power user. In a blindness context, BrailleNote truly
is the people's PDA.
All the best.
