Hi Sue,
I got something similar when I had my bn battery conk out on me in the middle 
of linking online.
When I tried to recharge it, all I got when I tried anything was "Waiting for 
the battery to recharge."
A good reset soon had everything working right again.  Maybe that will 
straighten out your bn.
Sometimes, you just have to let these machines know who's bos! (lol.)
