it may cause a lot of technical support issues as well.  If you do it wrong
on devices such as mother boards, you can ruin the product.

There is no reason why the bn does not have this but for pdi not wanting to
make this available to its customers.

Most devices these days have flash rom which is upgradable by the user from
a pc. Too bad that the BrailleNote doesn't have this technology.
