Hi, Chris. Just get a flash card like you use in a camera. This will go into the back of the unit. Those guys at the sore you went to sounded like they didn't have any idea of what they were talking about. You can get an adapter from comp usa or best buy that wil hold the flash card which you can buy from those stores as well. This allows you to put a flash card into the side using the adapter or in the back just by itself.

OK, here's what I understand and I really hope someone can clarify this
for me. The slot on the side of the unit is for my PCMCIA card. It doesn't
need any kind of adapter because it is the right size. The slot at the back
of the unit is a serial slot for flash cards which work with serial ports.
These are the little cards like folks use in cameras which slide into an
adapter. My understanding is that the adapter is what connects with the
appropriate port. Most flash cards these days, I was told at Office Max,
are made for USB or parallel ports. So, this wouldn't work in that back
slot, even with an adapter unless you got a USB to serial converter. I
could, however, buy the 5 gig microdrive from PulseData which fits in that
back slot. Now, my last assumption is that if I use the slot on the side
and get a Compact Flash Card, Not the PCMCIA card, I would have to get an
adapter. I found it difficult to find an adapter for that size of slot and
am working with my PCMCIA card, instead. Hopefully, someone will straighten
me out on my assumptions because this issue is confusing. yes, I did read
the manual and to the best of my knowledge, it's not terribly specific on
what works and what doesn't.

Chris
