what's the difference if you carry the cf card in the adapter, or carry a 
pcmcia card around, actually no difference.
this is what i do and it works great.
actually just purchiced a 1gb cf card for 215 dollars, and it's going to slide 
right into my pcmcia adapter.
so i slip the cfcard with adapter into my laptop's pcmcia card.
