Depending on how your network hardware is configured, or the type of
hardware, it can be set to take the first address it sees as the port
security dardware address.
Also, the network people should be able to look at the ARP cache to find out
what your address is for your card.
Finally, as a last resort, you could put it in a laptop and check it there.

There are some network environment where you register your ethernet card's
hardware address for it to be used in the network.  
What is the best way to obtain it from the socket's ethernet card?  It seems
to me that there is no way that I can do it in the braillenote though.  Any
advise will be greatly appreciated.
