This is most unusual, particularly as ActiveSync support hasn't changed a
bit. However, in the event that the default speed for the new ActiveSync
"Serial" connection is still too fast for your machine, and I believe that
was the only thing that did change on the BrailleNote itself, and in case
the speed used is corrupting your data, I can only recommend, from the
Utilities->Miscellaneous options setup list, that - at the ActiveSync
prompt - you press or braille L, for slowest serial link. If you still
find that your serial link is not delivering properly, then I suppose your
downgrade is justified. Even so, you should be aware that you will need
to erase the contents of your unit's Flash Disk, and reinstall the
successive versions of KeySoft necessary to bring you back to version 5.0,
according to your board type and version burned into ROM. Doubtless, data
loss may occur if you have not kept a backup of your FlashDisk's state
before the time you performed your upgrade to version 5.1, particularly
for the planner. Like said, this is most unusual, at least to me. I
really can't think of any other v5.1 feature that couold so drastically
affect ActiveSync.
Try changing the serial port speed as I've described. If that doesn't
work, let me know, but I think I'm out of inspiration.
Cheers,
Sabahattin
