Hi what about going to the main menu with chord 1 2 3 4 5 6? It should save your document automatically, unless something is totally screwy with the braille note, I was doing an assignment once, that was 74 pages long, for a class, only to lose the whole thing after going chord ou to switch files back and fourth which did not happen before, so what I did was to a, have my flash disk repaired and to be get a 128 mb flash card from sandisk which won't mean that I won't lose it in the future, but I believe that the braille note sometimes has a mind of it's own where once it gets to a certain page length in the document instead of warning you that if you don't take this and this action you will lose the document. I believe that what pulsedata should have in the future is some sort of crash-recovery software so that for one it will warn you about braille notes' crash and for two, if you do crash then you can go in there and press restore or something.

I wrote a couple paragraphs saved them then exited the document. When I reopened the document the paragraphs were still there. Thinking everything was okay I continued writing creating a couple more paragraphs. I exited keyword got the abandon keyword message pressed the help option and got a message about reviewing the options. I reviewed them but nothing seems important. I exited keyword and went back into the document. The new paragraphs I had just written were not there. I guess I have to save after every word I write or something? I swear the BN has never done this before or if it has I have not noticed it. I am really wondering if this so something new that was implemented into Keysoft 5.0. I am thinking I am going to have to write the paper and not leave the file for anything or save his information every time I leave the document but why should I have to do this? Why can't the BN save the work automatically? It always h! > as in the past. Has anyone else experienced this where you used to be able to write in the BN in Keyword files and now you have to save your information every time you leave the document? > Is there something wrong with my unit? I sent it in about five months ago to have the battery replaced and Keysoft .0 burned into my unit. Perhaps getting Keysoft 5.0 was a mistake? I'm willing to save my document every time I leave keyword but I don't understand why the BN is experiencing this problem now and why it is happening in the first place. > I just want to be able to write my paper myself without it being deleted every time I try to reopen the document. > Thanks for your help and your time. > Lisa > > > ___ > To leave the BrailleNote list, send a blank message to > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > To view the list archives or change your preferences, visit > http://list.pulsedata.com/mailman/listinfo/braillenote >
