Hi, Terri. Thanks for the suggestions. I will bet that whoever put this on Gutenberg just put it up there as it would appear in print. I'll bet that is why the verses have colons between chapter and verse number.
I forgot about that find next command.
So many things to learn<grin>.

In literary grade 2 braille, the correct way to write biblical  references
is the write the chapter number followed by a number sign then the verse
number, example: John 3#16.  To get the BN to read this in perfect grade 2
braille, replace all the colons with number signs.

I'm generally not a stickler, but I hate seeing biblical references written
in incorrect braille, especially when a blind person does it.  Sighted
people don't know any better, but blind people who read braille do know
better.

I hope your Bible is divided into the 66 books.  The BN doesn't like large
files.
