Are you using Active Sync. I generally tried transferring using a CF card and in that case Word XP files will not open in 5.1.

What happens is, the bn, turns all word files sent to it, into pocket word documents, and once you have the file in the bn, you then have to translate the pocket word document into a keyword file in order to read them.
