Hi all! This card thing is inconsistent between different bns. My unit does fine if I leave one card in when switching on, but with both in, it will tell me that the card is removed and then that it is inserted in rapid succession. I have never had data erased from my cards when they were left in. What I usually do is leave one in in the back and have the other one with the adapter semi out, that is, I push the little button so that it pops out but leave it in the slot. That way, I can carry both and quickly slide in the storage card one, (the one on the side of the unit) when I need it. I usually use it to store zipped Bookshare books on, which I erase as soon as I have them opened on my compact flash card in the back. Other people have had problems with their cards when leaving them in, and for them, definitely take them out. The problem is not in every unit though. Some of us have gremlins and some don't I guess. (grin)
