Hi Olusegun, issues with Word documents containing complex formatting have
been there since the BrailleNote was launched. In fact most PDAs have this
limitation. What we improved upon in 6.1 is that many Word 2002 and 2003
documents that couldn't be opened before can be opened now. So the
statement made in the preview of 6.1 is absolutely correct. We do now
support Word 2002 and 2003, however the same limitations that have always
applied still apply. We'll hopefully address this in a future version, but
the bottom line is that you can read more Word files in 6.11 than you
could before. I think the point made by some on this list about the
documentation being more explicit about what might break the Word
conversion is an absolutely fair one, and I'll ensure this gets addressed
and appreciate the suggestion.

Re: [Braillenote] Word Conversion issue

Hey Tom, I am with you on this one. I MAY NOT LIKELY UPGRADE until this
major bug is sorted out, or until PDI issues an APOLOGY for what in my
books
is UNFAIR MARKETING PLOY/ADVERTISING. Imagine the electric companies
being
EXTREMELY UNBECOMING in its representation of a service that IT DOES NOT
actually provide or support? We'll be racing down the street to get the
Public Utilities Commission on its back! But what do you do when it comes

from a company in whose product you SHELLED OUT nearly $7000??

Sincerely,
Olusegun
