On the BT Keyboard, at the file to protect prompt, press space+dots 3,5:
Multiple Charactor Wildcard. At the prompt: "Confirm Each
File?" say N. There will be a prompt "Protect or Unprotect the files?" Say U.
The BN should give you a report such as "49 files
unprotected." And then it will return to the File Manager.

Matthew

Subject: [Braillenote] finding, unprotecting and deleting files

Hi:
Is there an easier way to do this.
I have the VN.
First in my folder I have probably 20 or 30 files that start with cl. So I
want to locate clark instead of clancy, when I type cl I get clancy, when I
type clar I get four beeps and then clancy. Why do I have to scroll down
through an entire list inorder to find clark? Or is there an easier way of
doing this?
Second, when I found the file I tried to delete it only to hear that the
file is protected. I had to go to the file protect option in the file
manager, go down the list again because I didn't have the precise name of
the file, then unprotect it. I know there are several other files in that
list that need to be unprotected in order for me to delete them but once I
unprotect one file the program throws me back into the file manager and I
have to go through the entire process again.
So other than making sure the files are unprotected when I move them to the
VN is there a way to actually do this without having to go through this
extremely tedious and lengthy process.
Thanks.
Tessa
