Hi, Thanks for the info, but let me tell you what I've done so far. 1. I've downloaded the latest Active sync from PDI and it is V7 something. 2. I have removed all partnerships from the several computers I attempted to use active sync on. 3. I have unplugged and reconnected the cable. What appears to be different is that the BrailleNote no longer screeches if it doesn't connect within 10 seconds. It just says connecting to active sync and goes back to the root of the utilities menu and that's all. Before after returning to the root of the utilities menu, if it didn't connect as I've said, in about 10 seconds the BN would screech. I'm stumped. I am wondering if perhaps a file might be missing from the BN. My Serial port works just fine for a Braille Display, The Modem works just fine. E-mail works just fine. So I'm wondering if it is possible that fore some reason I might be missing an applet for actyvesync on the BN. Thanks to everyone for any help.

Then reconnect your serial cable and try reconnecting. As I understand it, sometimes resets can screw up the partnership you setup in Active Sync. Also make sure you're using the very latest version of Active Sync (version 3.8 I think).
