That is interesting. Last summer I was told by some people at PDI that the BrailleNote could not be adjusted to read nonstandard foreign languages, but as you, I found it is indeed possible.
We live in California. To maintain our cultural roots, my 8 year old son attends Lithuanian Saturday school every weekend. I scan his textbook & other reading assignments & after making corrections, convert it to Lithuanian Braille with Duxbury (thanks to Joe Sullivan). While we emboss most of the passages, I do transfer some of the Lithuanian Braille files to his BrailleNote. He enjoys reading them off the Braille display, though it is helpful to turn off the sound, because Lithuanian sounds like gibberish on the BrailleNote & he can't stop laughing. My second grader loves his BrailleNote & is anxiously awaiting 6.1.
