Lissa: A flash card reader hooks up to your PC via USB cable, it allows you to transfer stuff via your flash card to your computer w/o using active sinik. You personally probably don't need one. The only thing you need is either 1. A cmpactflash card for storage, it fits in the back of your unit and gives your BN extra memory. Now if you want to be able to use your BN wireless when 6.1 comes then your just going to need one of the two compact flash cards that Jonathan talked about, one of those fits in the slot on the back of your unit and the other one fits on the side with the card adapter. The one you choose will depend on how you want to store extra data; if you have lots of flash cards, you might want to get the card that goes on the side of the BN. If you use a micro driver to store your info like I do, then you'll want a card that goes in the back, cause the microdrivers go on the side. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Lisa Ehlers" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, February 03, 2005 3:53 AM Subject: [Braillenote] flash card reader
Hello, Okay I thought the flash card reader had something to do with the PC not the BN. Now I'm wondering how much I need to buy here's what I think I need to purchase so far. 1. one compct flash card 2 one Pacamia card for the right hand side slot of my unit. 3. An adapter for the Pacamia sloj to go with that particular card. 4. A flash card reader? I'm not sure about this one so I'll put a question mark beside it. Why do I need a flash card reader? I thought the flash card worked by itself. I'm not looking for a disk drive so that isn't what I'm interested in. Thanks for your help and your time. I'm just wondering which items I really need and why. I'm inwithested in purchasing one of each card the compact flash card xthe other type the Pacamia one. Sorry I can never remember how to spell it correctly. I haven't had a chance to see if the local computer store has the compact flash cards. Thanks.
