Hi. I agree with Robert here. I have also seen that if you use the modem or the network card, the battery low message will come on much sooner. I have seen mine come on at as high as 15 percent; higher if I use more peripherals. But if I use nothing and just read or take notes, I can get it to go all the way down to zero or at least close to that.

Hi All,

I have always felt that the BrailleNote family is happier when the units are powered on with no compact flash cards in the slots.

Hi,

Interesting that you say you get the problem when you're using a CF card!
I've been getting this problem with my PK, and it's only a couple of weeks
old! I tried re-starting the PK without my Sandisk Wireless CF card
inserted, and didn't get a single battery message! So my question is: is
there a problem when turning on the machine if such a card is already
inserted? Wonder if Robert can reproduce this, as he was having a similar
experience with PK!

Paul.

Subject: [Braillenote] Battery message

Hi, I have noticed that lately I have been getting the battery is critical
message when the gage says that there is still more than 40% left. I have
checked the accuracy and it says that the gage is accurate. It first
happened yesterday when I put in my super disk drive. But it also has been
happening today when I was writing emails and documents. The only thing that
is different today then other times I have been writing documents is that I
have now got in a compact flash card.

Thanks for any help,
