Hi Charles: (and Isaac)

If I remember correctly, when you install the second language pack, you are
asked which language you would like your menus and such to be displayed in.
If you have a copy of the French program, I would try reinstalling it to see
if that message appears. If French isn't your primary language, I can
definitely see why that would be irksome.

I'm not sure about your other question because what the BN can do with
French Braille is different from what it can do with Spanish Braille. What I
think you're saying is that you may only input computer braille into the BN,
but whatever you input is displayed as grade two braille? If this is the
case, do the following:

Open a text file with French writing in it. Now, go to the options menu, and
press b for the braille display settings. (the option you are looking for
will not appear unless a text document is open) The fourth option should be
"text document reading grade?" The default is set to "preferred reading
grade" which, nine times out of ten, is grade ii. Switch this to 6-dot
computer braille by pressing dots 1,2,4, followed by enter. Now, at least,
you will be displayed French computer braille as well as inputting it, which
should help you some since you said you aren't sure of the grade II French
code.

Note that, if you want your email and other English text docs to be
displayed in grade II, you will constantly have to switch back and forth
from 6-dot computer braille to the preferred reading grade via this option.
It was confusing at first but I soon got the hand of it.

Yes, that is what I meant by a reset. Are you saying that, after your speech
stopped working, you pressed the reset button, heard the beeping followed by
the chimes, but your speech did not return? If that is the scenario... I
think you might want to ask Dean because I haven't a clue. Lol.

I'm sorry that wasn't much help, Laura PS. Isaac, professor in spanish is
"el profesor" or "la profesora" or "el maestro" or "la maestra", though that
is more generally used with lower-grade teachers. (in age, not quality) :)
