Hello Barb, I'm sorry i haven't addressed this message until now. It took me a while to try and understand what you are saying.
Barb, what is your default file type? For bnbt users, by default it is a keyword braille file. For qt users, i believe it is a keyword text file. Yet your message makes it seem as if your default file type, or the type you always create on your own, is a text file, with the extension of .txt. If you work within a file with other than a kwb or kwt extension, you should always be asked whether you wish to save it as a kwb or kwt file on exiting unless you press s to surpress that particular prompt. However, if you create that file on your own, you will not be prompted with this message. so, what it seems to me is happening is you are purposely "or unknowingly" creating file types with foreign extentions, and then you cannot find them within keyword. that is because it is necessary to press space with x (read with x) in order to view all, including files with other than a kwb or kwt extension. you should not have to exit to the file manager, and copy the file into a different folder to get to it. not only is that unnecessary, i fear that you may have a few duplicate files on your system. Please tell me if this has made some sense. I am really finding it hard here to put into words what i'm trying to express. So let me know and if it doesn't, or you can't follow me, i'll try to form it in another way.
