I keep getting a message that this page cannot be found which is
probably right since this is actually a D-link router.

Girr!

Rose,

I have a linksys router and what you need to do is to look at the router
settings. I think the procedure is pretty much the same for all of the
linksys routers
although once you are into the setting the actual layout may be a bit
different for the different routers.

But here is what you need to do to get to those settings.

On the pc, bring up the start menu, hit r for run, and then type:
http://192.168.1.1 and hit enter.

This should open the first page into the router. You will be asked for
a user name and a password. Ignore the user name field and in the
password field
type the word admin and then tab to okay and hit enter.

admin is the default password and you can change that later if you want.

you would navigate it accordingly.

This should work for you, but if it doesn't, you'll have to look in the
router manual for specifics. My manual shows exactly what needs to be
entered.

I've seen messages from others on the list with linksys routers and the
address I gave above seems to work for them, so it will probably work
for you too.

I have a second question. I wanted to use the book reader to read the
manual, but when I go to the manual folder it is empty, oops, could this
be on the system disk instead of the flash disk? Anyway, I found that
reading with the display in the options menu then user guide makes the
display respond slowly so thought maybe book reader would help. If I
should find those files on the system disk, it will help. I did try
space x to see all files including hidden ones. No go, but the manual is
working from the user guide perspective.

Do you know the SSID for your network? This is the key to begin setting
up your WiFi.

To find out what it is, you need to contact your network adninastrater.
