Jim,
I think PDI needs to do something about frustrating customers with
returned broken equipment. I think this is wrong and unfair. Telesensory
always put their equipment in good boxes that were strong and secure. You
didn't get units back that were broken. they used double boxes. UPS throws
those boxes around in the mailroom and they need to be well insulated!
I've noticed that mary Ellen is not on too much tonight. She's extremely
upset! I don't blame her one bit! I would be as well.
I think the way PDI is treating people is unfair. If I had to send a unit
back and forth six times, I'd expect a replacement unit! It won't hurt
them to replace that defective lemon. It would be good customer relations.
the person whose unit has had to be sent back six times is showing a lot
of poise, grace and patience! I wouldn't have this kind of patience. these
units are not cheap and they should be better packaged for shipping. but
if you guys continue to accept this behavior, then they will continue to
do it.

Isaac,
If and when you can do so, I'd upgrade your unit! It is much cheaper than a
new one and it will make your BN so much more usable especially when 6.1
comes out! I almost sold my BN till I upgraded it and now it is a different
more usable machine! I'm looking forward to 6.1!

Jeff,
I have version 402 and that's the last I can do with this machine unless I
upgrade the motherboard. I am not sure I want to do that. I don't have
$1200 right now.

Not sure but I believe that it can be upgrades to have browser. That was
what I did with mine a few years ago.

So version 402 doesn't have a browser? Meaning no internet access?
thanks

Yes Keysoft version 4.02 does e-mail and if you have the new Motherboard
will
do the browser quite nicely. I didn't even put keysoft 5 in until I got
the
gps version 2 last December. So the Bn actually didall of my e-mail
during
the summer of 2003 very nicely. Actually, I kind of think it had done
the
e-mail a little better than keysoft 5.01. build 22.
I tell you that one played rare havock with the whole machine so
itsgetting
fixed now.
But I still can't thank pdi enough for that Braille Note I'd still be
reading
message from 2003 had I not had that little machine.
