I have used my BrailleNote with DSL with no problem once I got it going. I don't use it now because I don't have an ethernet card, and I don't see the point in buying one since Keysoft 6.1 is coming out soon and I can spend as much money or lessw for a wireless card with memory on it for my compactflash slot.

I'd like talk on the phone and do email at the same time especially when I'm on hold. At the present, I can download email, disconnect from Earthlink, and then dial out. I want it all and am considering DSL Extreme. Can I use my old version of the BN with DSL Extreme? Can I have my cake and eat it too huh huh? > > > ----- Original Message ----- > >From: rhonda clark <[EMAIL PROTECTED] > >To: Braillenote List <[email protected] > >Date: Sat, 23 Oct 2004 19:39:35 -0500 (CDT) > >Subject: Re: [Braillenote] Braille Notes: > > >Yes, Precious, as long as you use dialup connection, (is that one word or two)? you can use your bn for email--just not the internet. > > >> ----- Original Message ----- > >>From: precious delight <[EMAIL PROTECTED] > >>To: Braillenote List <[email protected] > >>Date: Sat, 23 Oct 2004 17:35:57 -0700 > >>Subject: Re: [Braillenote] Braille Notes: > > >>If I ounderstand this discussien, I have the bn 4.01 and I can do emails. > > >>> ----- Original Message ----- > >>>From: Isaac Obie <[EMAIL PROTECTED] > >>>To: Braillenote List <[email protected] > >>>Date: Sat, 23 Oct 2004 16:20:47 -0400 (EDT) > >>>Subject: Re: [Braillenote] Braille Notes: > > >>>Jeff, > >>>I have version 402 and that's the last I can do with this machine unless I > >>>upgrade the motherboard.
