Dear Rose,

You put it so well. I, too, think web braille is a luxury and love it.

Sincerely,

Lissi

I actually like the page number in Web Braille, it lets me know how far
along in the book I am or how near the end of a volume I am getting.
I am not overly fond of the addition of print pages most of the time but
have learned to live with that too, I just tune them out after a while,
or get a chuckle out of them depending on what they say and where.
Being able to down load books, not having those large cartons to pick up
and mail, being able to pick the books I want when I want them instead
of when the library wants all cancel out any minor inconveniences the
web braille formatting or Bookshare have. Having the files in
electronic format, being able to carry around some 100 books at a time
so I can switch depending on my needs is wonderful.

Well I suppose I am strange in that regard. I want to read, but I know
that
when I want to re-read it, I don't want all the page numbers, so I just
edit
as I go.

i have to do a lot of editing anyway, either in my own writing or in my
work, so the idea of sitting down and spending hours deleting page
numbers
on the braille note is not enticing. i thought of opening them on the
PC in
Duxbury and reformatting it without page numbers, but even that is way
more
than I want to do. Just to read a little web braille. LOL. I can't
imagine how it could be done easily on a BN BT, because if you do a find
for
the numbers, it would also bring up every instance of a number or the
number
sign is also the BLE sign in braille. Just not worth the effort for me.

Sherry,
terri Paynett has an excellent program for this very purpose I do
believe.
I think it's called "poweredit". If she is on here in the not too
distant
future, you can ask her about it again. I hate editing as well.

thankfully, LOTR is my only book with both sets of numbers.

No way to do that that I know of. That's why I edit them out.

Hi,

Sometimes, when I read a book at night, i pick a web braille book and
use
the BN. When I do this, I turn on the speech and just listen. Is
there a
way to tell the BN not to read page numbers? Drives me crazy and
breaks
the
flow of the reading for me. Thanks.

sherry
