Well, I bought the first one in 2000 and it arrived in 2001, charged it on a credit card. In 2003 we decided to take out a home equity line of credit and pay off the credit cards and my husband decided to get the second unit then so I could have it for work and a braille display.
I won't be purchasing anything expensive for a long time, however, just did some major home reconstruction and then my computer died or almost, it runs when it has a mind to and that usually isn't when I want it to run, so had to get a new computer.
