Popovers 
  Prep: 10min; Bake: 40min
  Makes 6 popovers 
   
  2 eggs 
  1 cup all-purpose flour
  1 cup milk 
  1/2 teaspoon salt
   
  1. Heat oven to 450 degrees. Generously grease 6-cup 
  popover pan for 6-ounce custard cups with shorten-
  ing. Set aside
   
  2. Beat eggs slightly in medium bowl. Beat in 
  remaining ingredients just until smooth (do not over-
  beat). Fill cups about 1/2 full. 
   
  3. Bake 20 minutes 
   
  4. Reduce oven tempreature to 350 degrees. Bake about 20
  minutes longer or until deep golden brown. Immedi-
  ately remove from cups. Serve hot
   
  *Do not use self-rising flour in this recipe
   
  1 Popover: Calories 120 (Calories from Fat 25); Fat 3g
  (Saturated 1g); Cholesterol 75mg; Sodium 220mg; 
  Carbohydrate 18g (Dietary Fiber 0g); Protein 5g
   
  Lighter Popovers 
   
  For 1 gram of fat and 100 calories per serving, substitute 
  1 egg plus 2 egg whites for the 2 eggs and use skim milk
