Hi....go to samartha.net then go to Sam's home page and check out his
recipe for a rye starter. This works like crazy, and will give you an
excellent sourdough starter that you can feed with rye, whole wheat or
unbleached white flours, whichever your heart desires. I have used
this starter for several years, with complete and total success. We
are on vacation at this moment, about 2000 miles from home, and using
web mail, so that is the reason for the direct reply. Cheers, Doug
