Yes, you can steam and pull shots at the same time, it's one of the advantages of a Brewtus over a Silvia. Your Rocky should work fine. As for the water reservoir, the one on the Brewtus II (I haven't seen/know what the difference is with the III) is plenty. I can pull maybe up to about 8 shots (at ~1.5oz) or so with the water, which includes running the water before a shot, pulling the shot, and then running it again after while I clean the screen and so on. Also includes the daily backflush. But, that's just straight shots, I rarely make caps, so I can't vouch for the effect of the steam on the water supply (seems fairly minimal, but I don't know). The machine's reliability seems good overall. Yes, people have had problems, but it's not like a Ferrari never needs repair either :) You can do a lot of the repair work yourself if needed, at least to my understanding. I've had my machine open once, I think for some temperature thing, but I honestly don't remember (it was soon after I got it, and I didn't have to replace any parts, etc.). You will see an unfair ratio of issues here on the mailing list because of course folks with trouble seek help and can come here, whereas many owners who have no trouble never even get on this mailing list, etc. There are plenty of us who've also essentially had no trouble.
Either way, keep the box to be safe, so you have an easy way to send it back if it ever truly comes to that. I've had mine about 1.5 years with only that one minor thing. Others will no doubt chime in with their experiences.
