Indeed. In the nearly five years I've had my B1 (or rather M1 here in
Australia), apart from a couple of niggles early on (PSU problems with the
temp module) and the rotary pump conversion, It's been working like
clockwork.

 

It's had heavier use than many, with something close to 15,000 shots being
pulled over that time.  Only one service call in the last 3.5 years and that
was for seals. That's gotta count for something.

I believe that this as a common misconception. It's easy to think this
because so many people who post have problems -- but that's why they post.
This isn't a chatty list. The majority of posts are because there is a
problem. 

But I also think that are many like me who (knock on wood) have had years of
trouble free service. I estimate that I have burned through over 75 pounds
of coffee with out a single problem.

(of course a moment after hitting send my p-stat and controller are bound to
fail.)
