Unless I received a different version of the instructions than anyone
else, I'd say they need quite a lot of work. The indicated picture is
no where to be found and it neglects to indicate that one should
follow a procedure something like this to set the pressure:

Please if there is something really wrong with this, correct me so
that no one here does anything that might get them in trouble.

If your pressure was to high, start by turning the pressurestat
adjustment screw 1 turn counter clockwise.

Now you'll need to plug in and turn on the machine and allow it to
fully warm up. Be extremely careful at this point as very dangerous
things, both temperature and electricity are now exposed.

After the machine is fully stablized, check to make sure the pressure
is equal or below 1.2-1.4 bars, if not turn the pressurestat
additional 1/2 turns counter clockwise and then let off steam into a
pitcher for 15 seconds and allow the machine to stabilize again.
Repeat until the stable pressure reading is at or below the
recommended 1.2-1.4 bars.

Now the pressure should be at or below 1.2-1.4 bars.

If it's in the range 1.2-1.4 bar, you're finished, turn off and
unplug the machine, let it cool and replace the panels removed in step one.

If it's below 1.2-1.4 bar, turn the pressurestat 1/4 turn clockwise
and wait a few minutes for the pressure to stabilize.

Continue to adjust the pressurestat 1/4 turn clockwise at a time
every 5 minutes until the pressure is stable at 1.2-1.4 bar.

Now turn off and unplug the machine, let it cool and replace the
panels removed in step one.

And while it shouldn't be necessary, we'd recommend observing the
pressure over the next few days to make sure it stays in the
recommended range. If it doesn't seem stable it may be time to
replace the pressurestat.
