Yes, I've been roasting my own beans for approx 4-5yrs. 1) HotTop. 2) Always do. 3) Easy. 4) Green Coffee Buying Club, http://www.greencoffeebuyingclub.com/ 5) Once you do it you'll never go back. It's very little trouble at all. I could ramble on and on but if you really are interested you'll try it and then in six months you will start to understand what would take me 5mins to try and explain. Seriously, it's one of the best things you can do for your coffee experience.
If you have further questions I'll try my best to answer them. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- -- Shaun Taylor http://shaundoreenevankeegan.blogspot.com/ -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of JavaJo Sent: 12 July 2009 13:55 To: Brewtus Subject: DO ANY OF YOU ROAST YOUR OWN BEANS? I was wondering if any of you roast your own espresso beans? If you do: 1. What type of roaster do you use? 2. Would you recommend the roaster to others? 3. How difficult is the machine to operate? 4. Where do you buy green beans? 5. Is the cost per pound worth the trouble? I love this group and appreciate anybody who decides to contribute to this thread. Peace, love and espresso!
