I think that not recharging is precisely my problem ... meaning that calcium has built up in not only the filter, but perhaps my machine. The manual recommends every recharging every 3 months overall. If I go by the liters per hardness table, 13 is off the bottm of the chart, but you can approximate that it would be on the order of every 12 liters which I have likely exceded 10x. This is exactly my issue. Bonehead move, just forgot.
