Thanks for the reply. The water here is pretty soft already, but I you must still be right. I was just concerned about using descaler given all the extra plumbing, gaskets, double boiler, etc ... not to mention the large volume contained within.
Have you descaled yours? Did you do anything special? Just mix up 3.4 liters, run it through, then a lot of water ?
